This is a previously-owned, adult-sized, black sun-visor with “PPG Indy Car World Series” screened on the bill and a contrasting green terrycloth under-brim (PPG brand, 100% polyester). A "topless" hat, it consists of a stiff brim (the bill) attached to a band that wraps around the head with a strapback adjuster in the back, leaving the crown of the head completely exposed. The PPG Indy Car World Series served as the premier era of American open-wheel racing from 1980 to 1997, a period marked by the high-speed "split" between CART and USAC.
