Return to the year Max Verstappen made his debut in car racing, aged just 16. Competing in Formula 3 with Van Amersfoort Racing he claimed 10 wins, more than any other driver that season, and winning the prestigious Zandvoort Masters, emulating his father and many other prestigious F1 names. As a result of his performance through the season he ends the year having joined the Red Bull Junior Team and going straight into Formula 1 competition.
