A great shot of the front row of the 1969 Indianapolis 500. BOBBY UNSER in the #1 Leader Cards Bardahl Offy powered Lola, MARIO ANDRETTI in the #2 STP Oil Treatment Ford powered Hawk III and pole sitter A.J. FOYT in the #6 Sheraton-Thompson Racing Ford powered Coyote. Mario Andretti wrecked the car he planned to qualify, a wedge shaped , four wheel drive Lotus and had to race this two year old Hawk. Mario Andretti would go on to win the event. This photo was taken May 25, 1969 after qualifications. That is actually Aldo Andretti in this photo not Mario. Mario was sick that day so they chose to put his twin brother Aldo in for the photo shoot.
This product would be a great fit for fans of auto racing history, specifically those interested in the legendary 1969 Indy 500 and the iconic drivers' Ford GT40s, such as A.J. Foyt, Bobby Unser, Mario Andretti, and powered by STP fuel.
